Description

Meet "The Pretzel" — a challenging and uniquely satisfying mechanical puzzle that fits in your pocket! It is both a compact, tactile fidget toy and a complex brain teaser - a perfect gift for a lover of Rubik's Cubes or other mechanical puzzles. The Pretzel is my best puzzle for true one-handed operation and fidgeting.

Push the round beads through the track and rotate the colored circle to scramble or solve. Both solving and absent minded fidgeting are surprisingly addictive.

A diagram on the back shows the intended “solved” state, but there are many intriguing symmetrical arrangements that invite both focused solving and casual exploration.

This style of puzzle is excellent for improving focus and problem solving. Scrambling it is incredibly satisfying - it snaps in to place nicely and the beads roll through the track smoothly.
Objective

Fill the active track with the 27 black beads, and the lower inactive tracks with the 18 white beads.
Difficulty Level: 5/10

Rubik’s Cube enthusiasts with algorithmic experience typically solve it within a few hours and afterward consider it a modest challenge. Focused adults or teens with general puzzle experience—but no cube-solving background—should find it quite challenging, but solvable.

If you’re brand new to puzzles or aren't used to logical / sequential challenges, consider one of my easier alternatives.


3D printed in PLA, a durable plant-based thermoplastic. Keep away from intense heat and don't store in direct sunlight.
